Tailored for our Junior Learners ideal to boost their confidence in speaking among peers through creative and engaging activities. Literary Skills such as writing are not mandatory for this cohort.

Some examples of activities you can expect in our Junior Learners Classes:

  1. Show and Tell: Classic for a reason! Kids bring in a favorite toy, book, or item from home and explain why it’s special to them. This helps with speaking in front of a group and organizing thoughts.
  2. Story Time Theater: Using puppets, or drawn-out comic book characters students can develop their own mini-plays. This gives them a chance to practice dialogue and expression in a fun, low-pressure setting.
  3. Tell me why: We provide young students with straightforward, age-appropriate topics, such as “Cats are better than dogs!”, encouraging children to illustrate and articulate their thoughts. This approach introduces them to fundamental reasoning skills and how to connect their reasoning to a central theme.

We acknowledge the developmental learning stages of our Junior Learners and prioritize creating a safe, nurturing, and creative environment for young students to explore self-expression.

Customized for our primary school learners cohort, ideal for students to boost their speaking confidence and introduce them to writing theories and strategies for various contexts.

Some examples of activities you can expect in our Primary Learners Classes:

  1. Book Club Presentations: After reading a book, students present their favorite part or character. They can use, props, or even powerpoints to make their presentation more engaging and fun.
  2. Interview Practice: Pair up students and let them interview each other on a fun topic, like their favorite hobby or a dream vacation. This helps them practice asking questions and speaking in a conversational manner.
  3. Role-Playing Games: Set up scenarios where students must act out different roles – like a news reporter, a teacher, or a character from history. This helps them practice speaking in different contexts and tones.
  4. Debate Line Up: Debate games on fun topics, like “Which is better: outdoor sports or indoor activities?” Students can prepare arguments and practice presenting one points at a time, clearly and persuasively. Adding to the line up of points made before them.

These activities are designed not only to develop public speaking skills but also to make the process enjoyable and engaging for young students.

Our High School Learners cohort is ideal for primary school senior students (our year 6 students!) transitioning to high school, as well as current high school students eager to enhance their public speaking skills or refine their existing abilities in public speaking.

Our experienced coaches excel in customizing activities to suit each child’s current skill level, whether it involves encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones or tailoring exercises for budding speakers. In this cohort we begin exposing young orators to more complex concepts, helping them achieve mastery in speech delivery.

  1. Mock Debates: We begin to engage students in structured debates. Everything from topics they’re passionate about to topics that will improve their research skills. We also continue games that will enhance their ability to articulate arguments and think on their feet.
  2. Mock Newsroom: Setting up a mock newsroom where students can practice being news anchors, reporters, and interviewees. This helps them learn to speak clearly, stay concise, and engage an audience.
  3. Podcast Creation: Students create their podcasts on topics they love. This involves scripting, speaking clearly, and editing scripts, which are all great for developing comprehensive communication skills
  4. Impromptu Speaking: We practice more impromptu speaking in this cohort, where each student would a topic and has a few minutes prepare a short speech. This may begin with playing games to introduce quick thinking as well as more theory on strategies of how to prepare for impromptu speaking.

Helping students build the confidence they need to communicate effectively in various situations. Happy speaking!

Our Senior Learners program is ideal for young adults who want to improve their speaking skills with confidence and ease, integrating their academic strengths. Tailored for senior students, we aim to align with their academic abilities and help

them achieve genuine self-expression. By offering engaging speaking activities and pertinent theory, we offer continuous assistance to enhance their writing and speaking skills.

Some examples of activities you can expect in our Senior Learners Year 10+ Classes:

  1. Product Pitch: Students create and pitch a new product or service to the class, acting as if they are presenting to potential investors. They need to focus on persuasive language, market research, and the unique selling points of their idea.
  2. StoryTelling with a Twist: Students to craft a short story but then present it from the perspective of different characters. This not only hones their narrative skills but also their ability to switch viewpoints and adapt their speaking style accordingly. This might even include preparing a dramatic monologue or poetry!
  3. Panel Discussion: Set up panel discussions on complex topics where students can share their insights from different academic perspectives. Assign roles such as moderator, panelist, and audience to bring up debating and persuassive writing skills to the real-world discussion environment
