Speaking with Confidence programs - Primary School
Challenges faced by students
Numerous youngsters fear the possibility of talking before a gathering, or thinking outside the box. This fear and practice persists often unchallenged, long into adulthood.
We live in a world where children are often judged on how well they communicate and present themselves in schools and in online classes. While some kids take to it naturally, many children are faced with the fear of raising their hands in class due to the lack of confidence and fear of being judged negatively.
English may be someone’s first and native language, but despite learning the language from birth, not everyone is able to vocalise their thoughts cohesively and seamlessly, whether it is ready news in class, participating in school debates or applying for leadership roles at school. Perhaps they are so nervous that they may blank out!
Public speaking is done through our debating and drama exercises, along with reading out memorized poems and excerpts from novels.
o Debating instills skills of impromptu speaking and negotiation tactics, helping your child be more receptive to another person’s point of view and encourages tolerance.
o Drama develops body language skills and how to use your body to communicate what you are thinking, combining forms of communication like words, tone and body language.
In our creative writing programs, we run activities which help enhance students’ creativity and imagination, affecting how they communicate their ideas with anyone. We focus on comprehension, narrative structure, characters, among other topics.

We believe every learner is different and has individual strengths and development needs , and so, the class size is kept small whether In-person or Online.
